Oshilaja Hemsley
Oshilaja Hemsley was born in Lagos,
Nigeria in 1958. She studied graphics at Hornsey College of Art in
London, and went on to have an award-wining career as an art director
in various agencies in London, Nigeria, Kenya, and the Far East. She
switched careers on her return to London in 1995, and took to painting
full time. Her chosen medium is soft pastels on paper, but recently has
begun to explore acrylics on canvas. Her work is now focused on
emotional wellbeing through creativity as she devises and runs
intuitive painting workshops combining the esoteric with the creative.
She is currently based in South Wales and runs The Creative Well.
